Operationalizing equity standards in the clean energy economy is central to the IPA’s work. The IPA has taken significant measures to prioritize equity to ensure clean energy companies participating in IPA programs and procurements are meeting minimum equity requirements and supporting Equity Eligible Contractors (EECs) and Equity Eligible Persons (EEPs). With the creation of the Equity Accountability System, launch of the Energy Workforce Equity Portal and other equity-focused initiatives, the IPA continues to put equity front and center to help the state achieve its mission of equitably growing the clean energy economy.
